Five-Star Structural Concrete is a rapid-setting, prepackaged, high-strength, cement-based repair mortar manufactured by Five-Star Products USA. It is designed for structural concrete repairs where damaged or deteriorated concrete needs to be restored with its strength and durability, and allowing return to service within hours.
Data reflects typical results based on laboratory testing under controlled conditions. Reasonable variations may result.
Supplied in a 25 kg bag. Yield approximately 12.1 liters at maximum water, or 13.6 liters with a 30% extension using 9–10 mm pea gravel. Shelf life is one year in original unopened packaging stored dry.
Surfaces must be clean, sound and rough — prepared to coarse aggregate exposure, free of oil, grease and laitance. Provide a perimeter edge and minimum depth of ¼ inch (½ inch for aggressive traffic); do not featheredge. Saturate with potable water prior to placement.
Rigid, non-absorbent, securely anchored and liquid-tight, strong enough to resist placement forces. Treat areas where bond is not desired with form oil or paste wax, and maintain any existing joints within the repair area.
Mix three to four minutes to a uniform consistency in a mortar mixer (a drill and paddle is acceptable for single bag mixes). Total water is 2½ to 3 quarts per 50 lb. unit — add about 80% first, then adjust without exceeding maximum water. Working time is roughly 15 minutes at 21°C.
Wherever possible place full depth from one side of the repair to the other, firmly working material into the substrate. Keep placement continuous to prevent cold joints, then finish as necessary.
Wet cure continuously for one to four hours depending on volume and depth, beginning as soon as the material reaches final set — when the surface changes from dark to light. Traffic can open after 3 hours.
Prior to application, read all product packaging thoroughly. For detailed placement procedures refer to Five Star® Design-A-Spec™ or call +971 56 408 1507. Contains cementitious material and crystalline silica — refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.
Send us the repair depth, volume and service temperature. A specialist confirms the right product and aggregate extension, and returns pricing and lead time the same business day.
Different working time, different geometry, different temperature. There is a Five Star repair material matched to every placement.
