Five Star Structural Concrete® UWHP (Underwater Handpack) is a rapid-strength, hand-applied underwater repair material that sets quickly even in cold water. It is designed for the repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures below the waterline, where access is difficult and conventional form-and-pour repairs are impractical.

The material bonds to damp or submerged concrete, develops rapid early strength, and restores structural integrity to marine and hydraulic structures — including concrete piles, piers, seawalls, tanks, dams, and other underwater infrastructure.

Why crews specify it

01Hand-applied — no formwork, pumps or special equipment required
02Rapid strength gain — 17 MPa in just 3 hours, even in cold water
03Bonds to damp and submerged concrete surfaces
04Excellent in saltwater, freshwater and brackish environments
05Restores concrete piles, piers, seawalls and hydraulic structures
06Single component — mix with water and place

Placement in four steps

1 · Surface preparation

Remove all loose, deteriorated and unsound material. Clean the substrate of marine growth, silt and contamination before placement to achieve a sound bond.

2 · Mixing

Mix with clean water to a stiff, hand-packable consistency. Do not exceed the recommended water quantity — the material must remain workable while wet enough to place underwater.

3 · Application

Press the material firmly into place with gloved hands or a trowel, filling all voids and cavities completely. Build the repair to the required profile in layers where depth demands it.

4 · Curing

The material sets and gains strength underwater. Keep the repair undisturbed during initial set; expose to service loads only after sufficient strength development.

Prior to application, read all product packaging thoroughly. For detailed placement procedures refer to Five Star® Design-A-Spec™ or call +971 56 408 1507. Contains cementitious material and crystalline silica — refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.
